Las Vegas, Nevada - Best In The Desert Racing Association is proud to announce that it is a "done deal!"
Best In The Desert has been awarded the two off-road racing permits from the Bureau of Land Management from Lake Havasu City and La Paz County to promote the Parker Events!

Best In The Desert Racing Association will be promoting the Blue Water Resort & Casino Parker "425" event for Cars and Trucks and the KTM Parker "250" event for Motorcycles and Quads. The Parker Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Committee had asked Best In The Desert to promote the Parker "425" and after months of negotiations, and with an overwhelming response from the Parker Area and La Paz County Community, and the Colorado River Indian Tribes, Casey Folks, Director of Best In The Desert, is excited and very proud to have been selected to promote both of these events! Folks has just signed the contracts with the management from the Blue Water Resort & Casino, the Host Hotel for the Parker events, and everything is moving forward!

The Blue Water Resort & Casino Parker "425" event will be on February 7, 8, 9, 2003, for Cars and Trucks, with a one-day pre-fun run on Sunday, January 5, 2003. The Blue Water Resort & Casino Parker "425" will be a 140-mile loop and will be raced three times. The Blue Water Resort & Casino Parker "425" event will be billed as the "The Legend Lives On" and will have appearances from famous off-road legends and the vehicles these legends raced in. In addition to appearances by Rod Hall, Ivan "Ironman" Stewart, Parnelli Jones and Larry Roeseler, KJ Howe will also participate, the man who started the Mint "400"!

The KTM Parker "250" event will be held on January 3, 4, 2003, for Motorcycles and Quads, with no pre-fun run. The KTM Parker "250" will be sponsored by KTM Sportmotorcycles who have made a huge commitment to off-road racing, not only with manufacturing a great off-road motorcycle but by also sponsoring the KTM off-road racing teams! The KTM Parker "250" will be a team race and is a 65-mile loop and will be raced four times. For the first time since 1996 Best In The Desert will also promote a Mini Motorcycle and Mini Quad event on Friday, January 8, 2003; this will be a great opportunity for the mini's to get some really fun, safe race experience! This will also be a chance for the mini's to meet their racing hero's with the American Honda Team, Team Green Kawasaki, and the KTM Racing Team's all participating!

The Blue Water Resort & Casino Parker "425" and the KTM Parker "250" will both finish along the beautiful Colorado River. Not only is the Blue Water Resort & Casino a beautiful property and right on the river, but finishing the race along the mighty Colorado is going to be an awesome experience, an experience and an adventure you won't want to miss! Registration, Contingency and Technical Inspection will be held of Friday, January 3, 2003 for the KTM Parker "250" and Friday, February 7, 2003 for the Blue Water Resort & Casino Parker "425".
