HAS SUCCESSFUL BOAT SHOW IN PHOENIX

The Parker Area Tourism Committee has returned after a highly successful booth at the Arizona National Boat and Fishing Show, January 9th-12th, at the Phoenix Civic Plaza.

"The four day show far exceeded the attendance we expected", said Don Rolapp, Tourism Director.

Over 2,700 of the shows attendees visited the Parker Booth and collected information on lodging, services and things to do in the area.

Rolapp stated, "It is part of an exclusive benefit program we have to distribute flyers and brochures from our Pledge Partners that contribute to our continued efforts to market the community. This show is now placed on our normal flow of shows where we present our Parker Tourism Booth. It is clearly the best way to reach our target audiences at an affordable cost".

Supporting the effort was a weekend getaway vacation to the Blue Water Resort and Casino, Jet Ski Rentals from Arizona Jet Ski and Parasail rides on River Parasail. Over three hundred registered for the contest.

Also in attendance at the booth was the Town of Parker's Economic Development Director, Pete Stasiak, to speak of business opportunities in the community.

The Tourism Committee will next attend the Southern California Boat Show, February 15th-23rd at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
